Dr. Ruth is a graduate of UC Davis Veterinary School. Unlike all other veterinarians on the Central Coast, Dr. Ruth has set herself apart. She believes in a well-balanced, integrated holistic approach to companion animal health. To that end, she has spent a significant amount of time in learning and understanding other modalities of therapy to help pet owners make educated decisions about pet care. She is a TCVM Practitioner and Herbologist. Dr. Ruth is a graduate of the Chi Institute of Chinese Medicine having fulfilled all requirements of the China National Society of Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine. She is one of only 87 Chi Institute Certified Veterinary Acupuncturists in the State of California and only two within 75 miles of the Santa Maria Valley and the only one within the Santa Maria Valley. Dr. Ruth is also certified by the International Association of Veterinary Chiropractioners as a Certified Veterinary Chiropractioner. Four or more days a month, Dr. Corbo provides her surgery skills to Santa Barbara County Animal Services and to Santa Maria Valley Humane Society providing spay and neuter services.
